The Novation Launch Control is small and cheap and does an excellent job in loading and controller effects in Traktor.
I have collected numerous macro effects for Traktor Pro and mapped them onto the Novation LaunchControl. Most effects are described in videos, several from DJ Techtools and they are thus well tested and highly recommended.

The documentation for the mapping is extensive. It can therefore also serve as a tutorial for the coding of mappings. References to videos and sources of the macro effects are provided.
Opening the mapping in Traktor, make sure you double click on the 'comments' column to ensure all rows are ordered. I have used consistent commenting to ensure that things to belong together, are kept together displaying the entries (sorting the view by comments). This makes it easy to read the map, modify it or learn from it.
There are currently two banks of effects used (lower/upper rows of knobs on the Novation LaunchControl (NLC). Per user bank there are ten macro effects to choose from - five on the lower bank (FX-1 to FX-5) and five on the upper row. In the present version I have only one user bank filled with effects.
The latest version has been updated to also work with Stem files and remix decks. The map has been tested together with the NI S8 and D2 controllers.
The use proceeds always as follows:
1. Remove all assignments of effect units to decks: On the NLC, press and hold the FX-8 and then press the FX-7 button.
2. Choose a deck to which the macro effect should apply: On the NLC, press the '</>' to choose Deck A/B, or press the FX-8 button and then '</>' to choose Deck C/D.
3. Select the preset bank: using the up/down arrow on the NLC.
4. Choose a macro effect by pressing the FX-1 to FX-5 button. For some effects, the FX-6 button and knob provide additional/optional effects (e.g a delay). Turn the FX knob on the NLC to apply the effect.

- FX-1: IVPFRE (Iceverb-Peak Filter-Reverb) 'Swoosh transition/phrase effect'. Using FX Unit 1 and FX Unit 3. Effect On/off with FX-1 button. Macro control with lower FX-1 knob. Optional echo/freeze effect for transitions using a delay in FX Unit 3, with the FX-8 button initiating the freeze and DW control using the lower FX-8 knob.
- FX-2: TSPFD3 (Transpose Stretch-Peak Filter-Delay T3). “Transition* and phrase effect'. Using FX Unit 1 only. Effect On/off with the FX-2 button. Macro control with the lower FX-2 knob. DW control via lower FX-8 knob.
- FX-3: FID3R3 (Filter-Delay T3-Reverb T3). “Transition* in break' effect. Using FX Unit 1 only. Effect On/off with FX-3 button. Macro control with the lower FX-3 knob.
- FX-4: BMD3IV (Beatmasher 2-Delay T3-Iceverb). 'Techno phrase effect”. Using FX Unit 1 only. Effect (filter) On/off with FX-4 button. Macro control with the lower FX-4 knob.
- FX-5: DLFIR3 (Digital LoFi - Filter - Reverb T3). 'Transition* effect'. Using FX Unit 1 only. Effect (filter) On/off with the FX-5 button. Macro (filter DW) control with the lower FX-5 knob.
- FX-6: GARMDE (Gater-Ring Modulator-Delay). 'Transition* effect'. Using FX Unit 1 only. Effect On/off with the FX-6 button. Macro control with the lower FX-6 knob.
- FX-7: BOMHRE (Bouncer-Mullholland Drive-Reverb). 'Transition* effect'. Using FX Unit 1 only. Effect On/off with the FX-7 button. Macro (DW) control with the lower FX-7 knob.
Upper FX Bank:
- FX-1 (u): PWGAIV (Polarwind-Gater-Iceverb). 'Transition and phrase effect'. Using FX Units 1 and 3. Effect On/off with FX-1 button. Macro control with upper FX-1 knob. With optional echo/freeze effect employing FX Unit 3. Pressing the FX-8 button will initiate the freeze and the DW of the delay is controlled via the lower FX-8 knob.
- FX-2 (u): DEPFR3 (Delay-Phaser Flux-Reverb T3). 'Phrase effect'. Using FX Unit 1 only. Effect On/off with the FX-2 button and macro (DW) control with the upper FX-2 knob.
- FX-3 (u): BMTSIV (Beatmasher 2-Transpose Stretch-Iceverb). “Transition pitch build effect.' Using FX Units 1 and 3. Effect On/off with with FX-3 button. Macro control with the upper FX-3 knob. FX Unit 3 hosts a delay controlled via the lower FX-8 knob (DW) and echo freeze initiated with the FX-8 button.
- FX-4 (u):REDE (Reverb-Delay) 'Phrase or transition ‘build’ effect'. Using FX Unit 1 only. Effect On/off with FX-4 button. Macro control with upper FX-4 knob.
- FX-5 (u): REPFD: Reverb-Peak Filter-Delay (phrase effect)
- FX-6 (u): BPMTT: BPM Transition trick for two tracks with widely different tempos.
