I just purchased a JCM Gold G-223 cash register that has not been used for some years and it just shows '0' in the display all the time. Almost all keys pressed result in a 'beep'. I guess it needs a master reset/restore to work again. Please help. I know you helped a guy with this before on this forum and mailed him info. I would appreciate it alot if you please could help me. Hi, If it hasn't been used, you should replace the internal battery first. It will probably be leaking acid all over the board. If it is weak, you will lose everything next time the power is turned off. To RAM clear (WILL LOSE ALL DATA), turn key to PGM, hold 1,3,7,9 down, then power on. Must keep holding while power is on, until printer runs, then let go. A row of dots will be printed. The machine will now revert back to the standard 14 departments. If you had more than 14 before, let me know, and I will find the special codes to open the rest. Mark
